Open Question: Anyone TTC a girl & try the shettles method or 0+12?

I would like a baby- yes, just a baby- but we are thinking about ttc a girl & if it doesn’t work, then having another boy (with a few brothers!) Anyways- my question is: Why do they say to stop intercourse 2 days before. I am on fertility meds, so if we stopped 2 days before & then tried for the 0+12 by doing it 12 hours after O, wouldn’t the sperm from 2 days ago get there first anyways? Like- why should you stop b/c won’t the earlier sperm get there instead of the later sperm that was from ovulation.
