Open Question: Pregnancy & lifespan of sperm – please help!?

I have read that sperm can live for 5 days inside you. Is this common or do they tend to die within a more brief time period and this is just the longest they’re able to survive? I had sex on the 27th November 08 (after which i took the morning after pill) but the ultrasound gives the date of 2nd Dec. as conception date – could the sperm survive that long and outlive the duration of the morning after pill? No matter how much I read I cannot make full sense of all the information I have received. Ta

I may have conceived on the 7th December… ultrasound gives the date exactly in the middle of two possible dates of conception… I kind of wanted to rule out the possibility of it being the first date
